Hackers Devise Way to Remotely Shut Down Grandpa's Pacemaker

Hackers have figured out a way to connect wirelessly to a pacemaker and drain the battery, or to activate a jolt of electricity strong enough to stop a heart. This can only spell bad news for the pacemaker manufacturers who will have to scramble to produce a device that is more secure than current models (currently not secure whatsoever). If you had the knowledge and discovered how to stop a pacemaker remotely, would you release that information immediately? Or would you take it to the pacemaker manufacturers first? What would you do?
