neither are my best for one reason.....it lives under a sheet of corrugated plastic,so lifting it then taking the pics with the other hand was a little awkward

Take someone with you next time . Get on your belly while other person lifts the sheet. Then get some close shots of it's head, eyes and mouth. Don't be such a chicken... it isn't gunna bite you.

as it goes i've never seen them taste the air

but my dogs lovable
