maybe this should be in relationships. I brought in a cd with videos from one of my man's tours in iraq. i work with some people who would appreciate them so I brought them in.
I have never watched them before, and its hard to swallow seeing video of my sweet dear man killing people. He doesnt tell me about the stuff he did over there because it scares me to think he could get sent back over. I dont want to think of all the atrocities he has seen and the situations he has been put in. He isnt that person with me. He is the most caring and kind and gentle loving man I have ever met. I just watched a video where he says he just killed 6 guys though... I just dont know how to feel.

yeah I know it was his job and he did a great job at it. Im proud of him for what he did and what he does every day. It's just really friggin different when that person on the video is him, not some random marine.

on my short little walk to the bathroom, I thought about this. I knew it was something I should probably watch to understand what he has been thru. It was something that was and still is such a huge part of him, and probably always will be. I didnt want to watch it at home with him there because I didnt know how I would take it. I didnt want him to see my face as I watched. He said I could watch them any time if I wanted to, but he wasnt going to pressure me on it. I think tonight before he gets home, I will stop at his favorite store and get him a little something. He deserves it.

Thats war! Maybe people should watch more things like that before being so quick to want to go to war. It sucks, thats the reality of it and people like that deserve out upmost respect for doing things like that for our country.

I thank God for the men and women like him who keep me and my family safe. I feel so sad for you that you are having a difficult time processing what you saw and heard. I think it is valuable though to get a glimpse into what he was doing over there because that part of his life will shape him for the man he will be in the future as well.

parker i totally agree, it pisses me off when i see people are going to the funerals of those who died for our country and are tryn to rattle the family...let the family mourn it peace damnit! last summer, i was on my 15min break at work and hear there was a protest just down the street...so when im lunch came around, I didnt eat, but went down to the protest site, and gave a piece of my mind...then hightailed my ass back to work!...and it was his job, so dont look at him differently please.
