Starting a vegetable garden doesn't require extensive experience or large yards. Container gardening, raised beds, and companion planting maximize yields in small spaces. Begin with easy crops like lettuce, tomatoes, and herbs for guaranteed success.

What vegetables do you want to grow most, and what's holding you back from starting a garden?

Yes, vegetable gardening does not require a lot of space, and you can even do it indoors. However, it can be very expensive to grow because you need to buy containers, growing soil, fertilizer, etc.

Climbing plants like beans, peas, cucumbers, and tomatoes can be trained to grow vertically on trellises, saving valuable ground space.

I’m eager to grow tomatoes and fresh herbs, they’re versatile and rewarding. What’s held me back is limited time and space. But container gardening seems like a perfect solution to start small and build confidence gradually.

I am using sacks to plant yams and tomates. And I had a very bountiful harvest of yams last year. I don't have much space but I have made thel most of the little that I have to produce a bit of the food I consume. B
