I see all these Grindhouse haters. It really annoys me. They hate how QT and RR are bringing back the 70's, and the 70's "sucked". Dude, I love the 70's-90's, and I'm only 16. Our time period sucks. Things are becoming way to advanced and technological. Movies are full of CGI and effects, fashion is becoming hell. The 70's were a great time period, which set the basis for many movies you know and love today. Invincible. The story of Vince Papale. He was alive in the 70's and doing his thing. That movie is popular. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The murders of Ed Gein started in the 70's. TTCM is very popular.

Music these days sucks. I love music and all, but it's gone worse than what it was before. Nothing about sex, drugs, and hoes. Movies were awesome. Sexuality, gore, and other shit. Not CGI animals and talking dogs and all that stupid shit. We didn't need movies about comic books because we could READ the comic books back then. Cell-phones weren't smaller than a credit card, didn't have the internet and shit on them, they did ONE THING only, they made calls. They didn't have iPods that had games and shit like that.

This time period, this decade, it fucking sucks. The 70's, the 80's, the 90's, those were the good times, and I applaud QT and RR for bringing them back.

I am a huge fan and waiting for Grindhouse

I was around during the 70's - I started my apprenticeship in 1977, at 16. It was a good time, although I must admit, when I look back on some of the photos, it was an era that 'good' fashion forgot.

I suppose that there was still a lot of naivety in the world & everyone was a little more innocent, I loved the bad television, Lost In Space, Star Trek, Time Tunnel... there are a lot of others. The music was & always will be awesome.

By the way there were no mobile phones in the 70's, they were still 10 years off & I do remember the first models were like bricks, very funny now.

I was born in 1974. and when I see how my parents dressed me back then I almost burn the pics.

I like how they are doing the retro thing and I agree movies today have way too much CGI. That alone kinda ruined Episodes 1 thru 3 for me...I like the older cheesier effects better.

Guys the main point about this thread is actually the movie Grindhouse, featuring Planet Terror and Death Proof. I just brought up the argument because I hate the Grindhouse haters.

Well, I can't say that I hate Grindhouse, seeing as I haven't seen it yet.

I liked Pulp Fiction. I liked Kill Bill. Can't say I'm a rabid fanboy of the whole thing, but the whole movement is okay, I suppose. Blood and gore isn't really my thing, but whatevs.

One line of my post was specifically about Grindhouse

QFT means quoted for truth. And I just said it was the gayest movie ever cuz you said the same thing about 300, it was suppose to be kinda a joke.

But see, I really meant it. I don't think 300 looks very good. Maybe if it lost the weird fat beasts and monsters, I'd be interested. I love that ancient Roman history shit, just not when you go all mutant on it. But I do apologize for jumping on your movie without explaining myself.

I really don't know if I'll have the time(Or money) to go see it in theaters. I'm gonna try to see Zodiac and Dead Silence next. But I'll give you my word, I'll rent it on DVD if I don't catch it in theaters.

So you haven't seen 300 then. Well then how could you judge the movie then?

Also when I first came across this thread, I had only seen like 1 preview for Grindhouse on tv. Tonight while watching The Riches, there was a shitload of stuff about Grindhouse. To me it doesn't seem that much of a horror movie. I mean I did catch a glimpse of an occasional undead, but it seemed much more action oriented than horror. Still I think actually it will be a good movie. I'm gonna see it when it comes out.

The weird monsters don't really play as much of a role as it seems from the previews. That's the one thing I was worried about going into that movie. Long story short, see it, it's really good.
