Grace
I often asked myself the silliest of silliest.
Filling my mind with wonders unrelated to reality and it’s hate.
I wished to dance.
So I do so, here in this empty auditorium.
The spotlight on me,
And I turning gracefully in circles
On the tips of my toes.
Here is where I found peace.
I never let another human eye see me,
Because I have not quite learned all skills.
The skills I constantly practice daily.
Blistering my feet, but I refuse to give up until the movements are perfect.
What do they know?
I’ll be the next.
The one everyone will copy,
The one staring at you from the billboard.
I am not a failure,
I am the winner.
I am the finalist.
For my name is Grace.
I often asked myself the silliest of silliest.
