So you guys be careful what you say here.

The government is increasingly monitoring Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites for tax delinquents, copyright infringers and political protesters. A public interest group has filed a lawsuit to learn more about this monitoring, in the hope of starting a national discussion and modifying privacy laws as necessary for the online era

Wow this seems to be worse than Singapore chewing gums.
I posted a video of the Pittsburgs protests here.
In October, the F.B.I. searched the New York home of a man suspected of helping coordinate protests at the Group of 20 meeting in Pittsburgh by sending out messages over Twitter.

Oh and PS...if it's public, can it be called "tapping"? How stupid of them not to monitor PUBLIC boards if people are going to be stupid enough to put their plotting out there where ANYONE can see it.

That's like blowing bubbles with your gum in public, in Singapore.

Foreign intelligence services know the value of trolling social networking sites. DoD security services now advice DoD civilians and contractors not to put any information about their job, not even who you work for on sites like Facebook and Myspace.

My company goes even further and advises us not to have them at all....

It's only prudent not to advertise associations or employment in sectors that may be sensitive or open to exploitation.

I don't have a problem with authorities looking at what is put out there in the public.

I don't have facebook, myspace, or twitter. Having had a bad experience online (not having to do with the authorities) without them, it seems I'm better off that way. :)
