For a while you could drag and image into the good bar and it would find places on the internet when that image has been posted. What happened to that?

Well I am not sure about what you saying.. I think you are talking about google image search feature.. If yes then I inform you that image search show you the simillar results with you picture which you insert in google image search. But never hear that what you are saying.

I know you can click on the camera in the tool bar and upload an image, but I think the drag feature is like Google Chrome and shit.

Images that have embedded GPS location codes can be found ( where the picture was taken ). The problem is not all cameras have the built in.

Also some places have ( countries ) have asked to have this disabled for privacy issues. Depending on where you live the feature may not work and per the country selected in the Google country code..

As an example the GPS coordinates maybe great to find out where the picture of a Mountain was taken but not where someone was doing the naughty with his wife or mistress..

What they're talking about, actually, is like pictures of people. They use the feature in the MTV show Catfish. They take profile pictures that the alleged catfish is using and pop them in the google search and find the profile of the REAL person that those photos belong to.
