my bf has been jobless for 2 months, and has been lazy about looking for a new job because he got a huge check from some stocks he had invested in his old company..anyways, he put his resume on monster 4 days ago and has been getting lots of calls...today he went on his first interview and before he was even home the place called my house wanting to make him an offer. When he got home they called him back and offered him the job, and they need him to start tomorrow. Coolest part is he is making about $20k more a year than he was at the last job. That means we can finally afford to buy a house when our lease is up in this apartment. Yay!

oh no, we wont have a house built. We will probably be looking at houses in the 110k-120k price range, probably a 10 year old house. Here in texas the real estate market is pretty cheap, you can get a really nice house for that much. I just know nothing about purchasing a house, I think we have enough for a downpayment but I don't really have good credit and don't want to be stuck paying interest out the ass....

anyway thnks guys :) and james...sometimes i wish he would remember that!

the market for houses in Pa are great right now. a guy won the lottery and built a house near where my sister lives. it cost 7 million dollars. a coupe years later it apraised for 10 million. i couldnt believe it.

you could mortgage a house for like 30 years or what ever. live there for 2-3 years then sell it. pay off your mortgage and make a good little profit.
