This could be in politics or another forum I suppose

I am curious though if the network should get cover for naming it GCB ?

Do you think they would dare to have a show called GMB ......... as in muslim??

Or would they be ok to have a show called GJB ..... as in jewish??

Keep in mind I am an atheist. I have no axe to grind.

Also I obviously have no problem with the term bitches :p

I just think it is absurd when a liberal on TV says it is ok just because there were initials.

I presume the show is made by christians. Hence why it is ok. I don't think anybody could have a problem with a muslim production called CMB. I mean, that's unlikely to happen, but not because of PC like you think, but because by and large, the muslim community isn't ready to poke fun at itself yet.
 
It is based on a book by Kim Gatlin. The book got awful reviews. I hear they were going to do a show about Richard Dawkins books called Goofy Atheist Bunghole but they felt there were too many Reality Shows on already. :)

The show is based off a book of the full title, and ABC changed it to Good Christian Belles (as to not be degrading, but I think they'd have been better off keeping that one) then GCB. The book was intended for audiences who could relate to the subject matter. Marketed towards Christians. Meant to be fun and campy. In any case, the show is not getting good ratings and won't be around long anyway.

There was a reality show called JAPs (or something similar) about young Jewish American princess divas behaving badly. All sorts of demographics poke fun at stereotypes of themselves this way. Like Zorak says, Muslims may not be likely to do this just yet.

I don't quite understand the basis for the outrage from your end if bitches isn't the problem lol.

in Canada we have a home grown show called Little Mosque on the Prarie which includes a muslim cast and they poke fun at themselves

so we are obviously more enlightened than the US and the UK ( which we have secretly known all along)

Shame no-one pays attention to us - even though we are very nice and polite

So that's what it's about. I'll pass. I get enough silly female drama from the Real Housewives. I watch all but Miami. I was only able to take about 5 minutes of that one for some reason...

Gotta love high-maintenance women and their problems.....:24: My life sucks and I can't figure out why... It's everybody's fault but my own..... My LoveTank is empty :D I've been half-tempted to send the ladies some of my MajicWater as they are in need of some SparkliePositivity. :cool On the house.:ninja
