Late in the moonlight youlook into my eyes,
With a tender kiss you say goodbye.
As a tear falls down my cheek,

Silently I pray that you will come home to me,
For the days of war are long and troubled.
Your sweet blue eyes I may never see agian,
What will become of this child I carry.
With no father to cherish and hold him?
