It has been pouring rain for quite some time now and about 8:30-8:45 the tornado sirens start going off. We had been watching the weather and it kept saying there was a tornado spotted in the town next to us. Things got real quiet here, the wind was blowing so hard.
We all gathered up in the closet, I had put the kids 4 wheeler helmets on their heads and we all bundled up together and waited for it to pass, then the power goes off so now we cant hear the weather on the news.
Luckily, thank god, the tornado passed or went around us or something cause it didnt hit us.
Geez it was so scary!!

that sucks! I remember when I lived in alabama we had a lot of tornado stuff going on. Here in houston we dont get that many though.

Just got off the phone with my mom and she is in the Wal-Mart parking lot and there are RVs and cars turned over. The buildings and structures are fine.
She says it doesnt appear that anyone is hurt, so far. The containers that you put your shopping carts in are blown all over the place.
I just hope we dont hear of any fatalities.

I was watching this new show about how your body works and stuff, and it said that you can survive being pulled into the air by a tornado, because you get hit in the head by something and it makes you pass out which loosens up your body so it is SUPER flexible; so that way when you hit the ground you don't get any broken bones or any lethal injuries. Just a few scrapes and bruises!

Current Damage being reported:
- Damage to the Everett Car Dealership in Bryant
- Mobile Homes on Fire near HWY 5 in Hurricane Creek
- Fires in Benton & Bryant
- Damage at Target in Bryant
- Damage in around the Markham & John Barrow area
- Damage at the North Little Rock Airport

and theres still tornado warnings (3) still out in the state

There are quite a few pictures here Today's THV - KTHV Little Rock News Article

Luckily both tornados that were in our area, didnt get us. We just have some major flooding going on right now. The school my girls go to are out today because of no power.
I was talking to one of the girls I work with that worked last night, she said that the tornado went over the hospital so they had to get all the patients in the ER out in the hallway (glad I missed that one!!)
