I have never used the term except playing around. Newscaster just used it to describe solar flares we may be experiencing today.

I think I interpreted Fred's post a bit wrong.

But yeah, I never stopped to think it might not be a proper word. I have heard it used quite a lot.

Yeah, I remember reading a small little thing about the word in Reader's Digest and that the word was officially added to the Webster Dictionary only a few years ago.

They continually add slang words over time. Remember how "ain't" wasn't a real word? LOL ... soon we will see the word "shizzle" added ....
