People can be obsessed with pretty much everything nowadays: food, sex, relationships, having no food, exercise etc. What would you think the course of all these obsessions and what is the best way to get rid of it.

I'll never get rid of my obsessions. They're what make me tick anymore.

If I get rid of my conveniences, I might as well go back to living in the 1800s.

One I get rid of one obsession I end up with another one.

One thing that I find helps is to make sure your obsessions are geared at something healthy and or productive. That makes the obsession not seem as bad. It ends up being more helpful than harmful if you see what I'm saying.

Obsession is a persistent disturbing preoccupation with an often
unreasonable idea or feeling.

Only a few feel it useful since it suits their mentality. But most
people think it as a drawback.

Meditation and Yoga proved to many persons all over the world
to overcome a wide range of mental problems.

I use them regularly.
