Finally, Joe has picked up my car. They didn't "find" any surprises and it cost me $925 for a replaced transmission. Boy I have missed my baby! Weather is just right too! I have missed her............ Suddenly in a much better mood ;):D

Yeah, yup glorious to drive her to work. I had to get my driving glasses (they are nice looking, darken w/the sun), parking pass, loaded pop for work in it, all the stuff. Even dressed in an animal print blouse and denim skirt for the occasion LOL! Feeling better than I have for a while. Only question I have, mind you I'm not mechanical, why is my clock off? I mean do you have to unplug the battery to change a transmission? Anyway, luckily all my radio stations were still programmed, which I thought was weird wouldn't they be lost if the battery was off? Hmm, could they have driven my baby to another timezone, then changed the clock and forgot to change it back......maybe it was done earlier and they were galavanting around in her! :mad Boy, next time I'm checking the odometer before I let her go stay over on a field trip! Hmmm :humm:

If the battery was only disconnected very briefly it is possible to lose clock settings & not radio stations. Or they reset the radio stations and forgot to reset the clock.

Standard procedure to unhook the battery for major repairs. They end up unhooking a lot of sensors etc. to remove the transmission to put the clutch in. Sure beats having sparks fly if they pinch a wire and short out things.
