I am a book reader as well as a show watcher. In my case the show turned me onto the books. I have seen A LOT of emotional reactions to some of the scenes this season. From the death of the cruel child king, to the rape/not rape of Cersei by Jaime, to the reveal of the King of the White Walkers in Sundays episode. What are your thoughts on this season? Are you happy with the writing? Do you think that they are staying fairly true to the books?
Personally I love this season. I think that they are remaining fairly true to the books, while throwing in enough to keep the show surprising, even to the book readers. Truly, I think if the only stuck to the books, without adding in anything extra, it would be very long, sometimes become stale, and would have A LOT more food.
