Dont think I'd pour it into a metal storage container like that if I was just going to throw it in the bin, probably a used tin can or something but I guess that thing could be handy if you're some retard who has great difficulty cleaning up a few spots of oil from your work surfaces.

my wife would save the grease and then heat it up and pour it on the dogs food

While it's not that hard to use the lid to drain grease, this would be faster I guess.

I use the tin can method, fill the can before placing in thrash, then I don't have as much worry about leakage.
