Further Than Descartes

i stand on top of the giant's shoulder
so i can catch a glimpse of the world over
i can see the pieces of literature and science
things i couldn't see with out his guidance

glue pieces together with recorded histories
to discover more about unsolved mysteries
i'll extend our reach through the endless blue
i'll expand our sight past the giant's view

because eventually the giant's sight will fade
his star will pass over the mountains i've made
but if i have seen further than descartes
i couldn't have done it with out my father
