21-Year-Old Shot In Parking Garage Dispute

Seminoles fan died Sunday after being shot in the head during what authorities called a parking garage dispute, according to WJXT-TV.

Andrew Arosemena was shot at about 2:20 a.m. when he asked a driver in the parking garage to move, according to police.

Arosemena died a few hours after the shooting at Shands-Gainesville Medical Center.

Police said Arosemena was riding in a car behind a blue car seen on surveillance video in the garage when two men walked up to the car in front of Arosemena's and started talking to the people inside.

Arosemena, a friend and his brother were waiting in line behind the blue car, waiting to get out the parking garage when Andrew stuck his head outside the passenger-side window and asked the other driver to hurry.

"He stuck his head out the passenger-side window and yelled, 'Hurry up,' or something in those type of words to the vehicle in front. At this point, the two black males produced handguns and walked back to where the victim was sitting inside a town car," said Gainesville Police Department Lt. Keith Kameg. "The black male in the black T-shirt shot once inside the car, striking the victim in the head."

Gainesville police are asking the public for help finding the men involved in the fatal shooting.

"What we're hoping is that at 2:20 a.m., when this shooting took place, there were a lot of people in this parking garage. There were a lot of people exiting the parking garage. This took place on the second floor. Did anyone see anything? Did anyone hear anything?" Kameg said.

Police said Arosemena was in Gainesville for the Gator-FSU football game, but called the shooting a random act of violence that they said had nothing to do with the game.

Anyone who saw or has heard anything about Sunday morning's fatal shooting is asked to contact Gainesville police immediately.

FSU Fan Shot, Killed In Gainesville Garage - Orlando News Story - WKMG Orlando

Sorry if I sound racist, but maybe this is why black people get so much bad rep? They shot an innocent 21-year-old man that had his whole life ahead of him, just because they were blocking traffic, and he asked them to move. He didn't even leave the car, he just stuck his head out the window and asked them to hurry up. Maybe this is the perfect opportunity for white people to pull the race card. Did they shoot him because he was white, or just because he wanted to get home at 2:20 AM, when he was probably tired and wanted to get to sleep? Because it sure doesn't seem like he was being rude. It's not like he yelled, "Get out of the way nigger!". He said, "Hurry up". That doesn't justify getting murdered.

This is also why I hate Gator fans :D Every Gator fan I know is an asshole, and this just proves it even more!

I really fail to see what his skin colour has to do with this. White people shoot people too.:confused

But read the article. Two black guys were talking to some friends in one car. That car was blocking the exit to the garage. A white guy was wanting to leave, and couldn't. He asked them to move, and was murdered. What I was saying is that black people are always saying, "That's racist, blah blah blah, not all black people are bad!". That may be true, but we wouldn't think all black people were bad if shit like this didn't happen. What's the reasoning behind the shooting? They didn't feel like moving the car? It's really an ignorant story. As for being white, it could be considered racist against white people. I was just pointing out, I've seen a black man yell, "This is racist! It's 'cause I'm black!" for simply being kicked out of our movie theater for fighting somebody. Why can't we call it racist when a black man kills a white man for no apparent reason?

Just because someone else plays the race card dosen't mean you have to, would you jump off a bridge just because someone else did? I really don't get your reply.:confused

Ugh. What I'm trying to say is that black people call "racism" on white people for stupid shit like being arrested. Well, this is pretty racist, killing a white guy just because he wanted to go home. Maybe there's a reason for the stereotype that black people are dangerous. As I said, it'd be different if he called them a nigger or something, but he didn't. He asked them to move the car so he could leave, and he was murdered. Doesn't make sense.

Please show me how you are so sure they killed him because he was white?

Exactly my point. Show me where a police report shows that a black man was arrested for being black. For the third time: If black people can say it's racist for a cop to arrest them, why can't I say it's racist when a white guy is shot for asking a person to MOVE?

Look at the case this way: He was tired, it was 2:20 AM, any person would want to go home and sleep after a crazy football game and having to drive at 2:20 AM. The two guys jump in front of this guy, and block the exit. He wants to go home. He asks them to move, no insults, just asks them to move. One of the guys pulls out a handgun and kills the guy. Now, there's no reason to shoot somebody for wanting to go home. I've never done it, it's not a crime. The guy wanted to go home. So what other reasons could there be for shooting this man? I'm not saying it was ONLY because he was white, but in a world where black people act like everything is racist against them, why don't they stop and think before shooting a white guy? It could be looked at as racist.

You don't believe that random acts of violence occur? Personally I see it as far more likely that he did it simply because he was an arsehole.

I don't see this as racist at all... just some wanna-be thug who pulled a gun and tried to act tough...

I have a question for you... What if you went into a very bad neighborhood walked down the street and got behind two wanna-be thugs and told them to move in a loud voice? What are your chances of getting your ass kicked, or worse?
Well that's all this was, two asshats who were acting ghetto tough with a gun. They need to be put away for life.

yeah I don't see how this has anything to do with race.

It's not that hard to understand. Are you two being willfully dense?

Two black guys shoot one white guy with no reason, other than being asked to move. This could easily be considered racism.

You don't believe that random acts of violence occur? Personally I see it as far more likely that he did it simply because he was an arsehole.

But most random acts of violence don't consist of somebody just saying, "Hey, I feel like killing him". They may be random, but there's still a good reason behind it. Shooting a cashier for taking to long to ring you up, that's a good example of a random act of violence. This innocent man asked somebody to move their car. They were blocking the damn exit. In return, he was gunned down. I sympathize with this dude, I've been blocked in on a road plenty of times by morons that decide to sit in their cars side-by-side and chat.

I understand that, but he wasn't in a bad neighborhood. He was in a garage, and wanted to go home. From what the article says, he didn't even yell at them. He asked them to move. They shouldn't have been blocking the flow of traffic. I can see how it would have been different if he was in a bad neighborhood and did the same thing, but he was in a public parking garage, and as you said, it's two thugs trying to be tough. I wasn't trying to say this IS racist, but like I did say, we live in a world where black people are stereotyped as being dangerous, and it's considered racist to encourage this stereotype. Well, if morons like these two assholes didn't shoot innocent people, black people wouldn't have such a bad stereotype. They aren't exactly helping the black community with shooting an innocent guy.

Um, I think its you who are dense one seeing as how you're making assumptions based off of zero evidence.

No, I would say you are being dense seeing you have no evidence to back your theory up with whatsoever.

Edited my previous post, but in case you don't see it-

At the same time, I was saying that black people are always pulling the race card left and right, so I figured it's only right that in this type of a situation, it's only right that we get to pull the race card on them for once.

No, I would say you are being dense seeing you have no evidence to back your theory up with whatsoever.

It's not a theory dude. I meant that it's unfair for black people to get away with saying everything is racist, so we should be allowed to do it every now and then.

Bad people are only found in bad neighborhoods? And honestly, do you really believe he stuck his head out the window and politely asked if they could hurry up? Not likely. Just as some black guy walking up to the first white guy that talked to him and kill him is very unlikely...

Now sure, he probably used a loud voice, but still, no reason to shoot the guy. I didn't mean to make you think that bad people are only in bad neighborhoods, it's just that this guy was not in some kind of dangerous place yelling at people, he told somebody to move in a garage.

So Black people are wrong to pull the race card but its right for us to do the same? :wtf:

:confused I didn't say that. I said that if it's ok for them to, then it should be ok for us to. Have you ever seen a white guy being arrested, shouting, "THIS IS SO RACIST, IT'S BECAUSE I'M WHITE, THAT'S IT!"? I can't say that i have.

Strange! Personally I think that if someone is doing something wrong and getting away with it, it dosen't give me an excuse to do the same. I'd like to think I'm more mature than that.
