I had an appt on April 17th for an uptake and scan at the Drs office (which is an hour away) because of my damn thyroid (I am so sick of this crap!) Which I was told was a 2 day procedure. I was suppose to work those 2 nights but I went and got it fixed to where I could be off (which was not an easy process). Anyways, the drs office just called me and said that the dr said that April 17th was too far away to do the scan that he wanted it done within the next 10 days. So they change my appt!:mad They didnt even ask me what day would be good for me and low and behold, I am suppose to work on the day that they re-scheduled me for. I dont know what Im gonna do. Either way I go, Im gonna make someone mad. If I call in to work, they are gonna be pissed, If I change my appt, the dr is gonna be pissed!

Fuck, change with the doctor. Cause you're the customer. You can take yer business somewhere else if he dont like it.

screw the doc. he needs to understand that people actually have to work. if its imperative to your health tho... see if you can adjust. i dont think any thyriod problem cant wait a couple weeks but i dont know everything... just a little

edit... im mad at docs... what job in this world can you show up 45 min past an appt time and have that be expected!!??!

I wish I could, he's a specialist. Which we dont have any endocrinologists here in the town I live in, thats why I have to drive almost an hour away to see him.

I know how you feel. I have to make my appointment six months in advance because my endocrinologist is that busy. Well, a year or so ago, I made the appointment for December when I didn't have school. They come back and said he's going on vacation that day and won't be back until after the new year and that my new appointment was in January. When I called back to get it changed because I would have class at that time, they told me their next opening was in May and that was too long to wait. So I had to keep the appointment, miss class, and then fight with the school to excuse it. Don't you think they would leave some time open so they wouldn't have to change stuff around?

I hate that. My grandfather once had to wait two hours at the doctor's and then sent a bill to them for time missed at work. The nurse complained about it but the doctor said it was his fault and that a check should be sent.
