that last link is an essay i wrote in my junior year of highschool, in a creative writing exercise where we had to do a critical lens quote essay using The Crucible and Fahrenheit 451, in like 20 minutes. My teacher reported it to the main office.

are these warning signs or morbid musings? are we preventing the next VA attack or are we being paranoid?

Are you serious? Well, nevertheless, the actions that the government took is outrageous! They shouldn't be punishing him, they should be studying his psychological condition and helping him recover, if its that bad. The government is suspending his rights just as a cheap and easy solution.

It's just stupid, it really is. He has a right to write what he wants. I do find it creepy, what he wrote, but that doesn't mean I want him arrested. If anything, they should send him to a therapist, at the very worst.

But this is how groups and authorities react after a major national tragedy; they go overboard with people. Prevention, not exaggerated reaction, is the way to go.

Parents: teach your children, know your children....you're usually the ones who are closest to them and that they spend the most time with...

thoughts?

I agree with charmer. Bad things can result in overreaction in suspicious times. People need to think with their heads and not out of fear.
