how do you get a new forum advertised so that you can get more people to talk to. Every thing i have tried hasent yet worked.

well i have tried other forums to see if any one has any answer because i am limited on what i know of computers. ??to create another would work how??

yea i can see that this does raise q's but i really do need to figure it out i am not spaming that is why i didnt put the forums site on the page.

Seriously dood, if you don't even know how to use Google to find out this info, then you have no business trying to clutter the internet with another "forum".

to get a forum up and hopping, you need a premise. such as technology.
to get content, you need paper/pencil, or a word processing program to generate documents or articles
to get people, in your articles, you put links to discussion threads, where people can talk about the particular article.

now, that being said, i have a few questions:

a) why do you want to add more forums to the interwebworknet?

b) is your premise so huge and undiscovered that millions of people will visit your site?

c) is your premise small enough where your original articles will spawn other regular visitors to generate secondary articles for further reading and discussion?

d) is there actually a point?

now, i am not trying to scare you into not opening another forum site, but what is your major motivation for doing so, or the reason for you to want to do so?

if youve got a great product people hear about it,and/or they recommend it

True...I came on 3 years ago just for the games....that was about all I did for most of the time until recently...then I started striking up a great conversation with about 30 people on here, lol!!!

A good host, decent software [IPB, VBulletin, MyBB], advertise on msn/IM/Aim, Advertise on all the forums you go on and add a link into your signature on forums and make sure you have a decent site getting good hits linking to the forum.
