...what my disability is here is paper I wrote on it.

Did you know that president John F. Kennedy once said when they were trying to land a man on the moon “We do this not because it is easy we do it because it is hard”? That is what many people with cerebral palsy have to live with. Some cannot control parts of their body they need help with everything ranging from eating to writing. Cerebral palsy or CP affects 2 in every 11,000 births I am one of those two. And I say if I had a chance to change myself I wouldn’t. CP Doesn’t show how someone like me is crippled it shows they are strong. There is a comic named Josh Blue who has CP. He turned it into a good thing! Like I have. And then comes the question what exactly is Cerebral Palsy? Well Cerebral Palsy is a motor disorder cerebral meaning the part of your brain that controls your ability to move your body. Not all parts of your body are affected this can be made easier to live with. There are a number of treatments including Physical Therapy; Occupational Therapy also there is speech and drug therapy as well. There are also surgeries that can be done to correct what has taken place. These surgeries can change someone’s life like the surgery I had when I was younger. There is another question that should pop into everyone’s minds: What causes CP. The answer is an inter-cranial bleed. For those who do not know what that is it is a brain bleed damaging the brain during the birthing process. Cerebral Palsy is apparently used too much in the medical profession. There is not only one kind of CP. There is spastic CP, athetoid, and ataxic. Oh and there is something I forgot CP is not a new disorder! A man named Dr. William John Little first discovered it and it was called Little’s syndrome. Also in the late 1800’s a man name Sir William Osler is believed to have coined the term Cerebral Palsy. Some people think CP is a form of mental retardation but it isn’t. Doctors are researching more about CP so that it may be prevented in the future. I hope you have enjoyed this speech as I have writing it.

Excellent Ryder. You have made me more informed on CP and I thank you for that.

Josh Blue won Last Comic Standing. He was totally awesome. I also saw him live and he joked about his condition. We laughed with him.... not at him.

Super interesting!
My sis in law was born with spina bifida. (her spine was exposed at birth) I'd say shes moderately disbled...hates to use a chair but can't manage without crutches/arm braces...she's basically paralyzed from the waist down and uses her arms/crutches.. to swing her leggs...I have seen that woman walking out of the handi capped stall while my sis in law waits...I don't use those stalls anymore...having a disabled person in my family has changed me in so many ways...I loath seeing able bodied people in the wrong parking spot/stall etc...just remember folks..a seriously disabled person may need those facilities...anyways...
