The noisy neighbor to the right of us moves out and suddenly the fucking noisy as hell neighbors directly underneath us move in and now I can hear their music over my TV at 11 pm.

That's why I finally got a house......

...landlords don't ever want to say anything to the impolite neighbors because those neighbors might get offended or retaliate in sme way. As long as the landlord gets that precious rent check on time... Crazy world....

Do they at least listen to good music like Trance or pathetic music like rap or hip hop.

I had an upstairs neighbor, in the mid-80's, who would listen to Anita Baker's Rapture album every morning before work, every afternoon/night after work and all weekend. Swear to God! Person never changed the record, never listened to any other music. I never even saw the person who lived there.
I like the album, but, damn, every single day?!! I'd just turn up the volume on my stereo or TV. No one ever complained.

I didn't want to go through that hassle. Noise ordinance violations are quite possibly the LOWEST priority. First time I called the cops on the lady that moved out they didn't show up for 2 hours. lol

You know what I did? 10 minutes after typing this thread, I made sure it was them below me and I jumped up and down until the music went away.

SUCCESS! It immediately went off.

So I crawl back into bed, find a good position and finally start to fall asleep when suddenly, and this is a 45 minute time span.

All I can hear is beatboxing and bass. Not wanting to get up (read my "thinking" thread about laziness), I tagged teh wall a few times.

Nothing.

So I finally got up and tagged the floor with both feet so hardcore that all my model motorcycles fell off my tv.

The Music was off.

And it stayed off.

I was now on my way to the best 5 hours of sleep, instead of the best 7.5ish hours of sleep I could have gotten.

The apartment complex office is getting a call today. This is not the first time, but they at least had the decency to turn their shit off after 10 pm.

Weekends? Don't care what they play cause I won't go to bed until I pretty much pass out anyway. Weekdays? I don't do that to anyone else, and I'm not going to take it anymore. We'll see what they try tonight.

Fuckin' kids. They can't be much older than 21-23ish.

Oh and about 50% of what I could make the words and song out to were good songs. They had been playing music since I got home at 5.

I made out a red hot chili peppers song, trapt, and some stuff I didn't know.

I got home at 5 it was on. I left at 6:30 it was on. I got home at 10:30 I could hear it OVER my tv.

11:00 pm I tried to go to bed.

So I called my complex's office and the lady told me I'm well within the realms of calling the police. I already knew that and have done it.

Then she told me that the first infraction is a warning, second is a $250 fine, third is a $500 fine, and upon the fourth call in they could get evicted.

They went through their two strikes with ME personally last night. Next time I hear it... well, they will not get another stomping. They will be having the police knock on their door & the office will be notified immediately.

My neighbour used to make a lot of noise until I threated him with a hammer. Now he keeps the noise down AND shares his weed with me!:D

By doing what? Getting up, getting dressed, going downstairs, revealing who I am and asking them?

When they shrug it off, what do I do then?

Stomping their ignorance into oblivion is the easiest way to accomplish it. It worked.
