What is a flack cloud(I'm probably spelling it wrong though), and what does it do? I just watched Pearl Harbor again, and in the movie, and even on war shows and games I've seen and played, they have those. The best sight I've gotten of it is in the movie, it looks like a black cloud, the Japanese fired these long bullets out of a weird gun and it made black clouds that put a lot of "Flack" every where in the planes that bombed the Japanese back.

Flack is Triple-A (anti-aircraft artillery) Upward shooting artillery that explodes when it reaches the right altitude. The explosion would send shrapnel into nearby planes in an attemp to damage them and bring them down.

That's how it's pronounced. Could be flaque or something, but it was just used. Why, you were in a war?


Yes...why yes I was. World war II in fact. What a war that was! Was stationed in italy most of the time. I flew the bomber plans, I was the pilot :Drunk_emoticon:
