First there are the terror babies:

Then there is his melt down on Anderson Cooper when he was asked what evidence he has which is apparently none:

And it looks like he was involved in having a college staffer fired who refused to judge an art show at a college after he (Gohmert) was sponsoring:

I watched the Anderson Cooper 360 (CNN) interview. I would not want this guy to be my rep...

I would not be surprised if he is right

I would put nothing past the radicals

He would have been better off though clearly to state it is a theory rather than to state it as fact. Although if it is fact and he presented evidence then he would probably be called out for impeding an investigation. And do you really think if the FBI knew of such potential cells they would admit it? That would make no sense.

The funny part is that Cooper places complete trust in the FBI yet I bet you can find where he criticized them about botching up 911. I guess suddenly the FBI is totally competent and never makes mistakes or misses anything.

Regarding Anderson Cooper, all he asked for, like reporters do, was the source of the Congressman's information as a means of validating this threat. That the Congressman blew his stack appears like someone one is backed into a corner. In this case being backed into a corner consists of making statements that have no real foundation. Instead of admitting it, he chose to attack Cooper and pretend he was being picked on, poor baby.

Related to this story, and I find interesting is the hazard of working in an At-Will environment. Your employer is free to fire you without any reason at all. You can work your ass, be the best employee there is, but if you refuse to fetch him coffee or refuse to judge an art competition, one letter from the local U.S. Representative is all it takes to get you fired, no reason required. The highly valued freedom to walk all over your employees is wonderful for the employer.
