I would love to take this kind of spidey shots when I receive my DSLR soon ( I know am not gonna be as good as you tho' )

Is the habitat of these kinds of spiders near succulents?? That flower/plant seems like a variety of cacti/succulents=prickly pear or old man's beard cactus maybe?

it was on a type of thistle,as for taking pictures practice makes perfect
