Flip on MTv.. and It's the Real World in Denver.. then previews for Made, and My superSixteen.. and blah blah blah..

Now some of you know what I mean when I say

I WANT MY MTV

I miss the old Mtv.. When they actually played Music video's

I miss Remote Control

Headbangers Ball

I Miss VeeJays :(

Yep, I can remember when there was nothing else on.. there was always Mtv.. now it's more like any other station.... its all about Shows, not video's..

oh, just like radio stations who claim to have more music playing, yet their dj's just have to state the fact after and before each song, as well as have the pathetic crap announcing the station, of which, is over 1 year old, and they still say "hot, new, b92" ... sheesh (www.b92online.com)... so..

satellite radio will soon not just be music. it would mean much less advertising revenues... and the companies who use radio for advertising, would petition what and which body to get adverts on satellite..

im a little biased - i didnt renew my 5.0 mustang and super fords magazine... and no, not because of the new mustang coverage (its ugly anyways, the rear of it mostly..), but more because the price of the magazine per year, on top of the fact that there were more advertisement pages than there were actual content pages. im not paying for half a mag of adverts. the adverts should pay for themselves.

Or the stations that claim they play new music. As much as I love Sublime, they aren't new. Along with 90% of their play list.

which brings another thought to mind... playlists.. why not just spur of the goddamn moment? sheesh - they are disc jockeys, not computer operators.. getting paid to double click... lucky fucking bastards...

When I hear "I want my old MTV back" I don't think of Headbangers Ball. That shit is proper new. You want old MTV? Go back to nothing but music videos, every Saturday and Sunday was Beavis and Butthead, Celebrity Deathmatch, and one show some of you probably don't even remember, Siffle and Olly. Every night around midnight was the new Spider-Man cartoon-

Last time I ever called and requested a song I was told that it was not a authorized song for Play.. WTF?? How is that playing all requests??

My dad and I actually had this conversation the other day when he was driving me around.

We were listening to this popular classic rock station (104.3, for those of you in the New York Area) and I noticed that the final track of Srgt. Pepper's was on. I remember hearing this just a few days ago. What are the odds? Out of thousands of Classic Rock songs, they seem to have picked the same exact one within a few days. So, my dad started telling me about how the radio companies just make lists for DJs to play, and a very limited list, apparently, as opposed to the DJs picking whatever record they wanted, back in "the day". I guess this is tied in with the whole "people enjoy most what they recognize" marketing scheme. Geez, The Beatles, The Doors, and Rolling Stones are all great bands, but seriously, what ever happened to variety?

Yeah I am not sure Lucky is exactly how I would describe it.

yeah i miss the old days of MTV of Headbanger's Ball (the old school version with Rikki Rachtman), Remote Control (Cari Werher was HOTTT!!), YO! MTV Raps with Dr. Dre and Ed Lover...ahh those were the times. i cant stand this new crap they have on there. My Sweet 16...those spoiled bitches need to be punched in the neck, im tired of seeing The Real World and Road Rules, TRL doesnt play videos anymore and even when they did they played some crappy music videos. i think MTV needs to change their name to RealityShowTV cause thats all they pretty much play on there.

what happened to variety? well, ill tell ya.

variety went to the variety hour show, to which it was subjected to another picked out playlist, and then once management saw that no one really cared about the variety hour show by not calling in... they cancelled the variety hour show. and variety went with it.
