Romney was very articulate and Obama was too tame. However he (Romney) only did great as long as you don't remember he disavowed practically everything he has been running on for the last 2 years, which leads credence to the fact he says what he has to say depending on the situation and the audience. I am disappointed that Obama did not call him on that more forcefully.

I was a bit let down because it didn't get heated. However, it didn't change how I plan to vote. Actually, it made me feel even more confident in how I plan to vote.

the correct choice would be everybody voting independent or libertarian.

I'd like an elaboration I heard Romney do nothing but retract everything he said

He smoked him..plain and simple he took every round.
What did Romney retract?..And why didn't the president catch this?
Ahhh cause he didnt retract anything :D

i missed it because i had to work, but everything i read stated that there was nothing substantial enough to swing the debate one way or the other. both sides are touting victory, which means that, in reality, it was as much a non-mover as any other presidential debate EVER!

I had it on but was multi-tasking. I posted the video on the other thread. Here's the transcript:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS...enver-colo-oct/story?id=17390260#.UG1o55jA8wd

Odd thing: I did a search for the word "constitution" - you've heard of it, the document the President is supposed to support & defend ... and obey - It's mentioned only once in the entire debate:

LEHRER: Two minutes, Governor, on the role of government. Your view?

ROMNEY: Well, first, I love great schools. Massachusetts, our schools are ranked number one of all 50 states.
And the key to great schools, great teachers.
So I reject the idea that I don't believe in great teachers or more teachers. Every school district, every state should
make that decision on their own. The role of government: Look behind us. The Constitution and the Declaration of
Independence. The role of government is to promote and protect the principles of those documents.
Too bad it was part of a larger lie.
ROMNEY: Mr. President, Mr. President, you're entitled as the president to your own airplane and to your ownhouse, but not to your own facts. All right, I'm not going to cut education funding. I don't have any plan to cut
education funding and -- and grants that go to people going to college. I'm planning on (inaudible) to grow. So I'm
not planning on making changes there.

So, you are easily impressed, have a short memory, and don't care that Romney described a completely new vision of himself in conflict with his candidacy's platform. All righty then. ;)

As far as who won, telling lies or not, it had to be Romney. Expectations were low for him and there some people who will say, "he's a good guy!". That has to hurt Obama.

You must have not watched it either as that is very inaccurate.

It's a good thing there are 2 more debates, and believe me the US population has a short memory!!

Yes..Hopefully he will expose Obama more in the future debates.
Obama campaigns well...has good speeches for an audience.
However this isnt one of the those read from your notes or follow the teleprompter,
This is about having "plans" for the future and how to fix the current crisis.
Obama airy speeches of green, education, blah blah blah meant nothing.
While it got him elected the first time ..Romney pointed out the failures.
This was a debate about facts.
Romney smoked him...Apparently some Obama followers still follow Obama with his charm on stage.
Thing is charm fixes nothing except damage control with a public perceptions..Which some Obama followers are still falling for.
Facts are Facts and are what people should be attention to.
Cold hard facts that Obama could not dispute.....As said charm works fine when you are a solo speaker...but in this case charm didnt work for Obama as Romney getting back to the issues we need to deal with.
