First little Excursion

Anyhow, this is what I came up with today. Let me have it.

Honestly, I like his one little "let me piss around with it" shot better than any of mine.

And I'm thinking maybe the Zoo or DC/Baltimore/Annapolis this weekend 'cause I'm already bored with the trees we have here, pretty thought they are. The color just isn't coming across right. Maybe I need a sunnier day?

I think I should have gone with my initial instinct and done both feet flat. Or dangling. I do like the grid over the leaves though.

I really wanted the sun behind the SECOND tree, 'cause I liked it better, but that just was NOT happening. I think I liked it better when it was on the small camera screen...

The colour looks good to me (as do the pics) but I guess if the pics don't reflect what you saw then you're naturally going to be disappointed.

The only one I really like the color in is Matt's lamp shot and my very last shot, but the sun didn't do like I wanted- it didn't look like how it did in real life, I guess. But the color on that is the best I've got so far.

Maybe if I wore my sunglasses less often I'd be less disappointed? They enhance the color on everything.

The only one that looks a bit off (but still nice) is the last one - was it darker or just more of a red sun? Just trying to get an idea of how you saw the shot. Appreciated it could be difficult to explain if not there.

I was thinking more like if the sun was coming in from behind the tree it would light the leaves up, and that's how it looked but I couldn't make it happen. The sun just caught my eye when I was leaving and it really lit the tree on fire and that's what I saw but it wasn't translating. Does that happen a lot?

I wish I'd kept the other attempts on my camera.

Yeah, it was a little windy. Makes me wish I'd pulled it all out a couple months ago.

I'm only posting my personal opinions cuz HTC axed me to so here goes...

I kinda like the idea of this shot but I don't like all the stuff around it. If it were me I would have removed everything except the subject which was the bottles. The Aspirin bottle is out of focus but in time you'll learn more about your camera and will have that depth of field issue resolved.

I know your just testing the waters but to me there really isn't any specific subject here. From my end the color reproduction is good though so at least you know it's working as it should.

Same as above except the colors are off. Too much light reflection which made the exposure way off. The camera is tilted as well which makes the building look like they are gunna slide off the picture. :24:

Once again no specific subject and you're on the dark side of the unit so it's not very well lit.

I like this one quite a bit actually. The only thing I would do is brighten it up a bit. Oh, and I might tweek a few other things as well. I'll do it after supper. Mrs.Guyzerr has been a good girl so I'm gunna stuff a burger in her mouth.

I found this interesting as well HTC but I would have cropped the fixture and got rid of a lot of the extra stuff around it.
Still want me to post my opinions on the second set? I hate doing that kinda stuff cuz what one likes someone else doesn't.
