Firefox and updating Flash?

Every time I update FF it says that I don't have the latest version of Flash which can cause security risks and instability. I could swear that I have the latest version. Last time I updated before today it said the same thing and I had the latest version of Flash already. When I updated today I got the same message in the FF welcome tab. Any ideas what's going on?

It happened to me once. I really just ignored it and flash worked fine.

Yeah Flash does work perfectly. So I have nothing to worry about then?

No, in a word. The problem is Firefox's welcome tab is sometimes unable to track Flash, thus it not registering that it's alright.
