female species...

Fact is, most women do tend to abuse the money thing with men .. not all do it, but enough that it's a stereotype thing now, and women did it to us all on their own. It doens't even have to be a scummy girl either, rich ones do it to. Women just usually don't want to spend their own money, they wanna spend everyone elses first, then theirs (on themselves).

It comes from how they are raised and their parents buying them everything they ask for .. when they grow up they expect it from everyone else. Some don't even realize that it's a bad thing though .. how could they when they've become used to it? Some just don't care though.

Men do it too someetimes, but it's usually the really fucking sorry lazy ones. Men don't usually ask because of pride .. most men are raised that they are supposed to "take care" of the woman .. not the other way around. It would KILL most men to ask for money from their girls.

So, I don't think men using women is nearly as common as women using men.

I think there's a reason why women tend to "do it" more than men. It's because even now, women don't always get the same break as men in career opportunities. More men tend to be promoted. Men tend to make more money for the same job. Granted, some of this is because a woman ends up having to leave her position for some period of time to bear children. But all other things being equal, women are still not worth as much in the job market. Consequently, they tend to have less money to play with.

Thank you. Exactly where I was coming from.

Woulda repped ya if I coulda.

NO I hardly EVER hand out money. This girl does the same thing every time I see her.

Maybe she's one that is used to getting by on her looks and is used to men buying her things??? I'm not saying it's right...I'm just saying there ARE girls out there like that.

As for me...I don't need a man to buy me things, I make my own money. Now, if someone WANTS to buy me something, that's great...but I'm not gonna ask someone for money. As a matter of fact, I've never let a guy (or woman, since I do frequent the gay bar, too) that I don't know buy me a drink at a bar before. Me and my friends will buy for each other, but that's it.

As for the men vs. women argument...I hung out w/ my 3 best guys friends last night and, when I pulled into the driveway, one of them had a brand new car sitting there. He's getting married next weekend and his fiancee bought him a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder...paid cash, as a matter of fact. She already paid his taxes this year and gave him $30,000 to put down on a house. Now they want to know if I can get this Saturday off so I can come up to the mountains for their wedding...he even said they would furnish the room.

Peter, I saw where you feel the need to start your own account? I think that's a bad sign. I must be idealistic.

Yep, you must be idealistic. No one is perfect, everyone has their strong and weak points and having different ones is a good way to bring more to the relationship. My missus might be crap with money but I've got weak points too. If you're looking for the perfect partner, it's a quest which can only end in failure, especially if you're not so perfect yourself.
