FDA investigates deaths preliminarily linked to energy shots

Thirteen deaths have been reported to the Food and Drug Administration as "adverse events" after the consumption of the dietary supplement 5-hour ENERGY, according to an FDA statement.

While anyone can report an adverse event, and although no cause-and-effect relationship has been established, the FDA said it is investigating, as is required by law. A report does not mean a product is responsible for or that it contributed to any health issue.

I used to drink 2 of those a night for almost 3 years. When I worked at the prison. Never had any bad reactions. Although they stopped working for me long before I stopped drinking them. It was just a habit to buy them lol.

Some smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol like fish and have no ill effects. Yet many develop cancer and kill their livers.. Hard to really understand why some people are not affected at all while many more are..

It could be a coincidence but it does seem odd..

I have epilepsy, I used to drink them and they did cause a seizure one time so my thoughts....for vulnerable individuals STAY AWAY FROM THEM. That said, if you are "allergic" to anything stay away from it.
