I saw the first one and it was pretty meh....never had a desire to see the second one, so I srsly doubt i'll see this one. At least not in the movie theater.

Y'all are just weird. Those movies are awesome. After the 2nd one not only will I not drive near a logging truck, but I won't walk near a retractable fire escape ladder. The 3rd one seems super neat, but I don't want to go see it by myself.

the best kill scene was in the first movie was when the girl got hit by the bus.

The first one blew IMO, but the second one kicked ass. I think the third was a step below the second, but still had some pretty kick ass scenes (hehe nailgun!).

I really loved the crash in 2. Great movies.

what are the premises of these movies?

The basic premise is that when its's time to die, it's time to die.

In the first a couple of people survive a plane crash & then something - call it Death, Fate, Determinism, God, Satan... whatever, sets about to put things right by making sure the survivors all die. It does this in some truly horrific & original ways.

They're a little like a horror film in which people die one by one but it's more spectacular.

I think either you love them or hate them.

Well the main theme in those movies is basically foreshadowing. You just can't help but constantly want to find out when and how everyone will die :lol

I think it's a battle between God and Death. Might sound stupid, but for the God part, why else would the people get premonitions at the beginning of the movie? And the Death part, just Death trying to kill off the survivors. Fate is fate.
