The FBI doesn't fool around when it comes to descriptive monikers for wanted criminals.
During the past four months, the Seattle field office has been searching for the Upscale Bandit, the Groundhog's Day Bandit, the Nomad Bandit and the Button Up Bandit -- all bank robbers.
A recent crime spree in the North Seattle area by another bank robber has agents tracking a bandit with what might be the most unusual name yet.
"Her name is actually Attila the Bun Bandit," FBI spokeswoman Robbie Burroughs said.
Attila, who always wears her hair in a bun, has robbed four banks in and near North Seattle since June 29, most recently the Washington Mutual on Northeast 181st Street in Kenmore on Friday.
Burroughs declined to reveal how much Attila has made off with, but she said there's nothing exceptional about this bandit except that she is female and wears no disguise other than sunglasses, and witnesses have described her as immaculately groomed right down to her fingernails, which are said to be nicely manicured.
"We don't get that many female bank robbers," Burroughs said.
"She goes in, she passes a note, she gets money and puts it in a makeup bag, and then she's out the door."
Attila is Caucasian with a medium build, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and in her 30s.
Other robbery targets in North Seattle include a Bank of America on June 29, a U.S. Bank on June 30 and a KeyBank on July 6.
