none, don't like any of them to be honest. I met the Queen when I was a nipper, she's alright I guess.

How did that happen? :p

I don't have a favourite, let alone know any of them.

she was visiting the town I grew up in, because of some new development there (half the town was built in one go...) and I was at the local primary school and she was shown my paintings. My younger brother shoved an union jack flag up her nose. it was quite funny.

All us Brits know the Queen personally :sarcasm:24:

As for me;

1.) Edward III - The Greatest English King ever, turned England from a mediocre military power and a feeble economic power into most powerful military nation in the world. Even more the impressive when you consider the woeful state of affairs he inherited from his useless father, Edward II.

2.) Richard III - Disputes as to his Englishness continue, but the only commander to ever stand toe to toe with Saladin and not walk away disgraced. Probably the greatest General and warrior ever to lead England. The tales of his one man charges against legions of Muslim Jihads are probably fanciful, but make great story telling none the less.

3.) Victoria I - A crumbling empire, mutinous natives, high levels of unemployment and a declining birth rate. The signs of an Empire long past its sell by date. Yet Victoria managed to hold it all together somehow, and retain Britain's place alongside Prussia as the most powerful nation on Earth. Her sweeping economic and social changes brought prosperity and education to many, and although the empire was ending, the Britain we see today can be thankful to Victoria for the steadying she brought to an empire that could have so easily sunk into oblivion like so many before it.
