I love it when they mix something new age like electric guitar with a big symphony. It just makes for great music.

on the topic of fastest guitarist its pretty hard to actually say who is. According to guitar world the fastest shredder of the year is Herman Lee from dragonforce...

but Joe Petrucci is considered the fastest by many others.

I think Yngwie Malmsteen is insane personally. along with Steve Via, Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson.

Herman Lee is my god right now though. have you seen the video to through the fire and flames? During the solo they have a separate camera on his fingers and its just nuts.

Joe Petrucci sounds like an old Atari game.. Yngwie Malsteen makes playing fast, sound good..

There are far too many guitarists to figure out who is the fastest.
