Who's currently alive and kicking in your close knit family?

Parents?
My parents are healthy and kicking.

Do you know your grandfather/grandmother? My grandfather is alive my grandmother passed away the year I w3as born. My grandfather eventuallty remarried and I have a half aunt who is 20. His wife is going to be 50 soon. My grandfather is creeping up on 70.

Do/Did you know your great grandfather/mother or 2x great? My great grandmother is like 90 living up northeast with my great aunt taking care of her. We don't speak too often anymore. My aunt Jeanie's family has pretty much taken up looking after her. I haven't been so see her in 7 years when my cousin Kristal's first child was born. I never knew my great grandmother's first husband, my real grandfather. My family is pretty confused about the whole thing but her husband who i knew as my great grandfather passed years ago when I was in Elementary school. My great great grandmother passed away when I was in junior high. I think she battle with Alzheimer or something like that. I know at one point they put her in a nursing home.

My grandfather's mother was never in the picture really... care about her side of the family more....

Aunts and Uncles?
My aunts and uncles are still kicking, My aunt Terry, My uncle Dennis (my grandfathers kids) and my great Uncle Donnie (My grandfather's brother), Donnie tends to stay to himself.

First cousins?
All my first cousins are alive. I've only got 4. Talk to one most often. She's the closest to my mom and me.

Siblings?
All alive that I know of, I don't tal;k to my biological father and I've only met one sister. I have like a total of 10 bros and sisters. i being the oldest. I talk to the second closest to my age every now and again on Facebook and In used to talk to my brothers Wife but they seem to like to tend to their own lives then to get to know me better. My fathers ex wife amusingly added me to her FB....

COusins.....HEAPS.....but I rarely see them and they all live hundreds of miles away.

Aunts and Uncles...Only 2 still alive...both in their 90's believe it or not.

Both parents are alive and well.
Do you know your grandfather/grandmother?
My mother's parents both died before I was born, unfortunately. I grew up knowing my dad's mom (we weren't very close) but she is now deceased and has been for about 20 years. My dad's dad abandoned them years ago, but he and my dad did reunite about 25 years ago and I met him 2 or 3 times. He's also deceased now.
Do/Did you know your great grandfather/mother or 2x great? Never knew any of them...they're all long dead.
Aunts and Uncles?
My mom was an only child, so no aunts or uncles on her side. My dad has 6 siblings (4 sisters, 1 brother) but I only talk to 1 of them on a regular basis and I ceased contact w/ his brother years ago when he was found to be molesting his children.
First cousins?
I've got tons of cousins...not really close to a lot of them, though.
Siblings?
I have an older brother and a younger brother...they're both alive and well. My older brother has a different father and he has 4 half-siblings. His dad's dad was always claimed as my grandmother as well...she's been deceased about 5 years now.

Grandparents - one Grandpa left. I never see him. My other Grandpa died before my parents met. Both my Grandmas died when I was in my 20's.
Siblings - alive...all one of her
Aunts & Uncles - all alive (and I've got lots on my mom's side) except one. He died when I was 2.
Cousins - all alive (again, lots) except one who died during heart surgery around 20 years ago

One alive. My dad passed away 14 years ago.

I knew my maternal Grandparents. My grandmother passed after I got married. My grandfather passed after my first child was born.
My paternal grandparents... my grandfather died when my dad was 3. My grandmother died in the 80's.

Do/Did you know your great grandfather/mother or 2x great?
My maternal great-grandmother was still alive when I was very young.

Aunts and Uncles?
Only one uncle. He's alive, but we have no contact at all.

First cousins?
3. One I have no contact with. The other 2 I have marginal contact with.

Siblings?

Do you know your grandfather/grandmother?
I still have both maternal grandparents and my dad's dad is still alive and well. My grandmother passed away in August of 2008.

Do/Did you know your great grandfather/mother or 2x great?
I did know one great grandmother. My mom's dad's mom. She passed in 2006 at the ripe old age of 97.

Aunts and Uncles?
If we're going with my parents generation, my dad has an older brother and sister who are both alive and healthy. My mom had two older brothers die at birth. Up another generation, my grandmother has 5 brothers and 1 sister. My grandfather has 2 brothers and 5 sisters (two passed before turning three) and my other grandfather has 3 sisters. My mom and paternal grandmother are only children.

First cousins?
I'm the oldest of 7 in my generation. My aunt has two kids who alternate ages with my brother and I, and then my uncle has three kids, the oldest of whom is starting college in the fall; the youngest not yet in high school.

Siblings?
OH... that wonderfully pesky little brother of mine. He's 16 months younger than me, so we pretty much grew up together.

I vaguely remember one of my great nans, she died when I was 4. Only one other great nan was still alive when I was born but I dont remember her.

Aunts and Uncles?
One of my uncles is dead, the rest of them I see occasionally except for one uncle.

First cousins?
Got over 30 of them, probably see about 80% of them still, occasionally

Siblings?
One sister, see her regularly but wont as much soon as she and her husband are moving to Scotland next week

Do you know your grandfather/grandmother? yes, i just recently lost one grandfather in october 09 and my paw paw in march 10. both grandmothers still around.

Do/Did you know your great grandfather/mother or 2x great? i knew only of my great grandmothers as their husbands died, when i was very young. i lost both of them around 1989

Aunts and Uncles?
4 aunts 1 uncle. i still talk to all of them except my uncle. he had a tramautic head injury when i was 3 and is now living in a nursing home, so i cant talk to him much.

First cousins?
all still here. one in AZ, one in houston, 4 in ohio, and 1 in MI. dont really talk to them unless its a family event.

Siblings?
one sister who lives in the valley. we talk occasionaly.

Do you know your grandfather/grandmother? I never met my Grandfather on my fathers side, he died 20 years before I was born. But I met the 3 remaining grandparents, the English ones from my mums side both died in the last 10 years.

Aunts and Uncles?
I haven't talked to any of my aunts and uncles in Ireland in years, and the ones in England I see occasionly.

First cousins?
I don't live in the same country as most of my cousins. I have 7 in Ireland and 1 in Italy. And the ones in England are fucking wierd.

2 grandmothers are still alive and one granddad. My other granddad died when I was... 10 I think.

Yes. My great-granddad on my mothers side died when I was about... 6 and greatgrandmother died when I was 15.

Aunts and Uncles?
I have 4 aunts and 4 uncles.

First cousins?
Too many to count. They range from like... 36-1years old. And my cousins have children. And there are step-cousins and half cousins and it is a mess.

Siblings?
A brother and sister.

Yep! My dad actually turned 68 today

Do you know your grandfather/grandmother? I knew 2 of them. My dads mother and my moms father. My moms mother and my dads father both died before my mom and dad met

Do/Did you know your great grandfather/mother or 2x great? I knew my mothers grandfather. He died when he was like 98 or 99. but I was young

Aunts and Uncles? Got 6 aunts and uncles just from my mothers side. My dad was an only child and he was adopted


First cousins? I got 11 1st cousins! 2 are older then me and in their early 30's


Siblings? 2 older sisters, older brother and a younger sister. My oldest sister and my older brother are from my dads previous marriage. they are in their later 30's

Do/Did you know your great grandfather/mother or 2x great? All of my great grandparents died before I was born except one great-grandmother. She died in '89.

Aunts and Uncles? My mom has a sister and a half sister. My dad has two brothers (one died in '02)

First cousins? Four cousins (one whom I've only met two or three times), two half cousins.


Siblings? Older brother (from my mom's first marriage), younger sister and brother.

Lost my Mom to a super bug 5 years ago.. Stupid hospital staff..

Do you know your grandfather/grandmother? Knew my fathers Mother but not really any others.. And I was still fairly young when she passed away but I do remember her quite well..

Aunts and Uncles? Yup, most of them.. 9 kids on my mothers side of the family and 14 on my Dad's.. Only one passed away young so I met most of them and stayed in contact till most passed away.. I only have a few left and now hardly talk to them anymore..

First cousins? With all those a Aunts and Uncles they had kids like rabbits.. I couldn't keep track of all of them and when I moved 3000 miles away it got even worse..

Siblings? Older sister and two brothers. My sister I talk too all the time as well as one of my brothers. Unfortunately the other brothers decided he no longer wanted to be part of the "family" so he has not been in contact.. His loss I guess..

Children? I have two kids. One is my adopted daughter that is 18 going on 19 in two months. I consider her as my own and always have. My son is 6 and just as precious..

Yes, and dad retired last year and are busier than they have ever been. They just got back from a 6 week cruise that went through Asia.

Do you know your grandfather/grandmother? I know both sets of grandparents. Sadly only my grandmas are alive now.

Do/Did you know your great grandfather/mother or 2x great? I remember my great grandpa, but he passed away when I was about 8. (not telling how long ago that was )

Aunts and Uncles? Yep they are all around still, but dont see them very often.

First cousins? Theres a few of them! Dont get to see them very often though either

Siblings? No. My brother died 5 years ago. Drug OD

Children? I have 2 sons, a 4yo and a 6yo

Both my parents are alive & well.

Do you know your grandfather/grandmother? My Mom's Mom died before I was born, as well as her Dad. So, I never met them. My Dad's Mom died when I was 6, almost 7 years old. She committed suicide. My Dad's Step-Father died before I was born, so I never met him. My Dad's biological father I was close with during my childhood & he actually lived with us temporarily when I was 6, he however passed away when I was 10 years old or younger.

I never met any of them.

Aunts and Uncles?
During my childhood, my Aunt (Dad's sister) & her live in boyfriend (Never married) pretty much raised from me from the time I was a baby in diapers until I was 11 years old. I stayed with them every weekend & all throughout the summer because my parents worked all the time. So, I spent a majority of my childhood with them. My Mom's sister & I keep in contact pretty often. She lives in Virginia. I have not seen her since I was a baby, but she sends gifts & other miscellaneous things throughout the year.

First cousins?
All my cousins are alive. I don't see any of them, but I'm only really close to one.

Siblings?
I'm the only child.

Both still alive and well. Divorced however.

Grandmother on my Mum's side is still alive with minor health problems although she's fairly independent. Grandfather on that side is dead. Both Grandparents on my Dad's side are alive and well. I have known them yes.

Do/Did you know your great grandfather/mother or 2x great?

Well they are all dead but to be honest I only really knew my Great Grandmother on my Dad's side. She lived in a bungalow for ages before her final years taking place in a nursing home. And the GG on my Mum's side, died of pnenomia in 1999.

Aunts and Uncles?

I have a few. My Mum's brother is healthy enough, ditto my mum's sister, neither are married currently although my Auntie there has been married twice (first husband died and second one ran off or some shit and becamse a Jehovas Witness). All my other aunt's and uncles live down Norfolk these days after living in Manchester for a good number of years. All are well. Apart from one who died in 1997.

First cousins?

All alive and well. One's a lesbian who's married.

Siblings?

All alive and well. Sisters 13 and doing well in school and my brother's 18 and doing well at work.
