Look at the wonderful festivals my lovely home has to offer in the fall:

Acadiana News - The Daily Advertiser - www.theadvertiser.com

Duck Festival sounds fun to me, but I wasn't home when it happened.
I'm definitely going to Germanfest and the Black Pot Festival

I am making my friend take me to her hometown for the Omelette Festival.

In the spring we have the catfish festival, festival internationale, strawberry festival, herb festival, daylilly festival and the crawfish festival just to name a few.

Over Christmas we have the Festival of lights in Nachitodches.

What you guys think? jealous?

i went to the rice festival today and was very disappointed. i had some alligator on a stick, and it was the highlight.

you know when deep fat fried cold alligator on a stick without even ketchup is the highlight it wasn't a good festival

but at least they had fried alligator right?

I've never had gator on a stick before.....

I went to a peach festival upstate and wasn't really impressed. The festivals that please me are the ones with tons of cheap good food!

Hope you have better luck with the other festivals!
