What's the point of even having someone as your facebook friend if you're going to have them on hide? Unless you're planning on checking their page every now and then, I guess. In my opinion, facebook is taken way too seriously by most people. I stopped posting personal status updates a long time ago..around the time I realized that no one on my friends list gave a crap about what I did that day, or what was on my mind. Now I just play the games, and repost news stories or things I find funny.

i dont have many people on hide, but the ones i do i have very valid reasons for it! but i dont want to lose ALL contact with them. keeping them as friends, makes that easier without having to read their nonsense!

i currently have my mom hidden. she gets an hour of online time during her lunch break at work. in that hour, she posts paragraph long things BACK TO BACK TO BACK IN ALL UPPER CASE LETTERS. and instead of correcting something in the reply box with the *correction, she makes yet ANOTHER post for the correction. seriously, in that hour, ive counted up to 20 postings on my wall. i dont want that crap! LOL

I have my boyfriends brothers on hide. They update about every 5 minutes "Don't want to work today" "Just had a taco" "traffic is bad". It's like....this isn't Twitter, pal :cool So yeah I understand having a few people on hide. But if you're not someone close to me, and you're spamming my wall with religious or political crap....you're probably going to get deleted.

if you are referring to the shit storm you got going with that pic, then yeah you #1 opened yourself for it or #2 hide those friends. or a third option could be to let them know that you dont need a debate going on under the pic

Thats very true... I do open myself up to it... I just don't get why certain friends have to make debates out of everything. *shrugs*

The one thing that gets me with facebook, is that people post stupid things on there about there personal life. making them public but when u comment on it and they dont like it they snap..

its like well why put it on facebook if you dont want people commenting on it.... arrgg!

Yeah its pretty much a Social HUB, where you can chat post stauts updates play games and waste hours and hours doing pointless things...

Much rather this forum insted!
