Exxon's Profit Exceeds $10 Billion

And we should be surprised?? Think about it... a $10B profit earned in only 3 months. I think they owe us consumers a big thanks.

As much as I would like to see the gas prices go down, you have to remember, oil companies are business's. You go into business to make money. If the demand is there, why would they lower their prices?

because the government regulates that kind of business, and the government answer, in the end, to the people, so they should make the government do what needs to be done. profits like that, especially in 3 months - thats an outright scam. and yet the government does not do anything about it. why? because the people fell for the 2.00 prices, not the 1.75 price of yester year.

and im sure the extra tax the government is making on it is paying for the war we shouldnt even be in the first place.

And you guys are telling me if you were the CEO of Exxon you wouldnt push for more profits? THATS HIS JOB - to make money. If you sign up for a job you do the work. Business is brutal. You can not blame the company for wanting to make a buck, thats what business is all about. If you want to blame someone blame the govt for not regulating as you think they should.
