i have 2 that spring to mind, both some years ago,and the second story will explain why they're a few years old

a few miles from me there was this sports center that was designed for disabled access, the disabled could play virtually any sport there.....well one day this 'respectable' looking couple booked a wedding reception there, nothing wrong there because they held alot of these.....well the day arrived and the place was invaded by gypsies, hundreds of them....well they trashed the place causing over £20'000 worth of damage, the young lad working there got hospitalised too...he tried to stop the pikey kids ripping up the indoor bowling green, and they classed it as a free bar by helping themselves..and they want my sympathy because no-one likes them

on another accasion a load were parked on the local field by me,well they were using the pub down the street....so after about 2 weeks they were in there on the sunday night, all in the newly refurbished lounge...well one of them decided to snort one up and spit it onto the new carpet, well all hell broke loose, the locals didn't like that at all.....well i walked the dog up the road to see what all the noise was and was greeted by the sight of the local lads literally kicking the shit out of about 50 pikeys..of course the police were the in force but just hung back to let things run its course...the next morning the pikeys just packed up and left and haven't been here since....and this was a good 8 or 9 years ago

2 weeks ago some of them were in a club getting all in one my friends face. He told them to go away so one of them went home, got a gun and came back in the club shooting away. One of my friends got shot in the leg and another one nearly got executed. The pikey put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger but it wasn't working properly and my friend managed to knock it away before it went off.
Another example of pikeys with guns, one of them on one of the sites in Harlow had just got a new gun and wanted to try it out so just randomly shot some guy in the arm who was out for a run.

We have some living in a house near where I live. One of the boys was at my year at school but got kicked out at the beginning of year 8 for fighting lots (he broke my friend's nose because the guy apparantly looked at him funny, even though my friend wasn't looking at him at all but turned in the opposite direction talking to someone else) and sticking his hands up girls skirts or up their tops.
Parents didn't believe it. Their good little Catholic boy molesting girls? NEVER! It's just racism from the school because they don't want pikeys.

I haven't heard much from them in a while. Normally all the men sit in their front garden with their whore of a sister (she used to prostitute herself in a nearby alley way) and then start threatening everyone who walks past.

My story from another thread:

There's a Gypsy Community about 5 minutes away from where we live. They like to come through our neighborhood and vandalize our property.

Last Christmas, my neighbor next door had some lovely Christmas decorations up; one in which was 2 moving deer that had little white lights on them - their necks bent down as if they were eating; anyway, 3 Gypsy lads came along and decided to kick and break what ever they could in her yard, my husband caught them and chased them down the road, caught 2 of them by their coats, drug them back down to my neighbors house, had them knock on our neighbors door and apologize for ruining their property.

And a more recent story:

I went to grocery store with my 5 year old daughter a couple weeks back; she wanted to get a book and I needed to pick up some printing paper, a magazine for my husband and a few odds and ends.
...Anyway, we were in the book / magazine isle, my daughter said, "Mummy, can I go down there and look at the Peppa Pig books, please"? I said, "Sure, go ahead, just give me a minute or two and I'll be right there with you". I watched her walk down to the children's books, grab a book and sat down (Indian style) on the floor to look at it and then I proceeded to look for my husband's magazine. The isle was dead, it was pretty much just her and I in that isle until these two (young) teenaged boys came through making a ruckus. At first they were being loud with their talking, laughing and swearing, I looked at them - they looked at me and then began pushing a couple things off the shelves. I gave them a look and said, "Hey, that's not nice, go and pick that up"! They gave me the finger and proceeded walking towards me. As they walked pass me, one pointed at my daughter and said something along the lines of, "She's got a dress on, go fist her". I swung my cart out in front of them and said, "You touch my daughter, I assure you, you will regret it for the rest of your lives". One of them went on and said that their Uncle and his friend were going to "kick my face in for disrespecting them like that"...blahblahblah, I said, "Your threats don't intimidate me". I went over to my daughter, left the isle and continued shopping. I can't say that I was worried too much in the store, what I was worried about was leaving the store / walking to my car, especially with my little girl. So, I phoned my husband, told him what happend and he said, "Don't leave the store. I'll be there in 15 minutes and look for you". He found me, we checked out at the till and he walked my daughter and I to my car.

My Great-Grandmother had an issue with some Roma Gypsies knocking at her door years ago, but this was over in Germany.

This is the problem, you have the bad ones which give the good ones a bad name. And worst thing is people tend to judge gypsies and put them all on the same level. its wrong, the bad ones (i call pikeys) need to be dealt with so the good hard working honest traditional gypsy can live life without hassle.

I don't jump on any sort of bandwagon. I base my opinions on personal experiences. That's just the way that I am.

So far I have yet to meet what you've just described as, 'good, hard-working, honest Gypsies' and I live about 5 minutes away from a Gypsy community. However, if and when I ever do come across some decent Gypsies, then and only then will my opinion of them change.

I've never met a good, hard working, honest one either. I did used to drink with one who was sort of ok but you couldn't trust him as far as you could throw him.

well you just met one, or replied to one should i say :) im part romany part irish. a little bit about myself, grew up in a big family of travellers, part of the family was fairground other was tarmac, i worked fairground for many years till i was driving then worked several jobs untill i settled working in the film industry driving the film sets to locations etc and looking after facilities on set. None of my family ever been the typical "pull up on grass and leave your rubbish behind" pikey's, we have always settled in designated travlin sites and yes i agree you get a lot of gypsies who think themselves "the dogs" and like to cause trouble etc, they live off the stigma that travellers need to be avoided but its these pricks that give bad names to people like ourselves who just want to get on in life, its just we have different ways sometimes. i can promise you that if you was ever to come across my site you would be very welcomed and made to feel at home. i do find some things hard in life due to the ones that life off the back of fearing gypsies but were not all bad, if anything there is a good handfull of us that would stand behind you in any problem and would go out their way for you. :)

Also the ones i hate that turn gorja and still call themselves gypsies living off the government. You will never catch me living off the state, ill be cleaning toilets for my keep before that happens.

Personally, I think if more gypsys spoke out against the ones giving you a bad name it would help but you rarely do hear that and so people assume you're all the same and I do hate thinking that about a whole group of people, I'm really not one for generalisation at all but I have seen alot of bad behaviour from travellers. It was good to hear your side though:)

i totally agree with you :) there is a board where travelling members can be heard and there are alot of members (MTC's) but like you say very rare people will stand up because alot of people are judgmental and just see it as all lies or excuses, ufortunatly we have a bad stigma attached and have to live with it. it sad but its the world we live in.
