I dont know why this happens but it always seems to after a long enough period of time.

I hung out with a australian guy for about 2 months and near the end it was gettin pretty evident that it had rubbed off.

Same thing happened with my french friend Steve. we hang out alot but the french accent he has rubs off on me whe i get really drunk. so much so that people at the bar are asking me what part of quebec im from.

And i worked with a Newfy (for those who dont know people from Newfoundland) his accent was so damn strong and his lack of vocabulary was astounding.

He was askin me once to pass him a bubble stick. i was like "WTF is a bubble stick." turns out he wanted me to pass him a level to check this wall. and once again his accent rubbed off. its a teporary thing. after you dont see them for a while you stop carrying it.

So has this kind of thing ever happened to you?

no but i fake accents a lot. when im around people. its fun. I dont think i talk too southern but i know how to if i really want to. I miss my alabama accent. Alabamians have the cutest southern drawls ever. And Georgia and Tennessee people.

my aunt is english, and when i was young i spent a week with her and my mom...a couple words rubbed off on me.

When my friend marlene visited from france, I can't say that anything really rubbed off on me.
