I occasionally force customers to complain so I can give them free stuff. I had one guy who was lovely and he's sitting with his "medium" steak sawing at at like it a chunk of wood. I asked if everything was OK he said "er yea I guess.. No its ok everything fine" and I said is their a problem with your meal? "It's a little... No it's fine", ok well I can see that your not entirely happy with your meal, would you like a fresh one? "It is a little over cooked, but we have to get a train so I don't have time. It's ok." ( little over cooked was the understatement of the year it was like very very well done dry as Fook!) in that case sir I will remove it from your bill. He was very happy and tipped well. Had a shit meal but left in a good mood. I love these customers!

That is called being a good employee. You were doing your job. Satisfying the customer. Dispite having a shit meal he will be back for sure.

Exactly two times I've gotten free stuff because of an complaint.

First time was about 15 years ago, when dying my hair and doing something wrong , but even though of having a vague idea that it was my fault I called the customer service and complaint about the dye not giving the colour it should have. *lol* Finally, they sent me a new tube of hair dye as also a big tube of deep conditioner.

Last time was a few weeks ago. I dyed my hair red, and the dye became totally hot and my skin felt like brunt the days after using the day. And it was not the usual warmth that dye creates, but really really HOT. oO
I called the customer service and they promised to check it, and moreover they sent me a new tube of the dye (but I didn't use it; didn't trust it anymore...)

My wife and myself never complain about food. I just would not order the same thing next time. I can't stand people that complain for the sake of getting something free. It annoys me.

We hve the "Thursday ladies" who only like being served by one of 2 people! They are so incredibly rude to anyone else! So one day the bigger bitch of the 2 and he husband came in and was most displeases that neither of the 2 they like were working an expressed their distaste that I was serving them. Sigh. To make matters worse I cocked up the order. Entirey my fault. It was a mistake they happen. She would not let it go! She moaned and bitched and moaned some more. She was given her meal and her husbands meal for free in the end just to shut her up! She came in again on the Thursday where one of the 2 she likes was on and she moaned some more that I put through the wrong sandwich! So last week there is only me on. She's stuck with me and Shea hating it! So I am very careful to put the order through correctly. The girl she likes started her shift just as her meal arrived. The customer called over and in this horrible it's all your fault tone said "these sausages are black! They are disgusting!" then suddenly her expression become really light and she was looking behind me to where my work mate had come to help me on the floor. She then put on this fake laugh and said "I'm just joking, oh HI CHLOE" WTF? No! God damn it! Your complaining for the sake of it now you old bag! How can you justify complaining and giving me shit of as soon as Chloe starts everything is fine?! Clearly your not that bothered by it! Due to other recent events I will no longer serve these women.
