batteries are not eco friendly when theyre discarded ,so will they still use batteries bb?

The cells they should use will not need discarding, that will depend on how far technology takes us in that area. The way I understand it right now, they will not need disposal. I am not certain of the ion type they will use, and I don't think they are either.

ive thought about using solar panels ,but the batteries needed would be very eco unfriendly so it would be pissing up the wall so to speak.i would be very interested in that new technology.thanks for that

The advances they have made with rechargeable batteries have been fantastic, I can only imagine there being strict regulations on the types of cells used for that reason (disposal problems).

I tell you what I'll do, I'll look deeper into that, seeing is how you brought up such a valid point:)

Right now Deb, what I am reading allows that the average life span of a daily use vehicle battery pack is about ten years. Not easy to find some of this information, so much is proprietary right now.

I will keep diggin though...It's what I do :)

Tesla Motors builds a total Electric with a fully recyleable Lithium Ion battery, the car runs about $80,000+ BUT is totally electric and batteries like I said can be recycled.
