I ended up having to take him to the hospital. Urgent care was closed. We sat in the hospital for 3 hrs just for them to tell us that everything we were already doing is all they can do. Sigh. Oh well. At least we know he isnt going to die from a brain infection, right? I gave him a vicodin last night and he passed out with a smile on his face because it didnt hurt as much anymore. He has today and tomorrow off. That should help too. I didnt take the money from my parents, however it is a nice gesture.
they didn't even give him antibiotics if not it couldn't have been that bad even so i'd think they would have given him some i know my doctor would have , i've seen alot of ear infections with 7 gradkids oh and with Bacon he had to have tubes put in his ears it was so bad , but that was when he around 2 years old if that, that was as tuff on me as it was on him .;)

I don't understand how anyone can have bottles of antibiotics laying around. Don't you guys take the whole prescription when you get it?

Do you realize that doctors will give you only what you need? And that every last pill should be taken. Even if you are feeling better, you are supposed to take all of your antibiotics. Germs constantly adapt to their environment and have the ability to take on the characteristics of other germs. When antibiotics are used inappropriately (i.e not taking the full regiment of pills), the weak bacteria are killed, while the stronger, more resistant ones survive and multiply. Germs that develop resistance to one antibiotic have the ability to develop resistance to another antibiotic. This is called cross-resistance.

Because I am buddy buddy with my doc and instead of writing the prescription for 20 pills, she wrote it for 60 so I had some for future.
