They are starting to be more readily seen in my state{Mo.}...they are getting a little more comfortable with humans again..I was able to walk up to about 40 feet from one the other day before it flew away.

The last couple of years I've been watching the Decorah Eagles live webcam of the baby eagle hatchings. It's really something to see. Unfortunately this year the eagles made a 2nd nest and the camera is not aimed at that one yet. Here's the link though for the webcam and some info and videos if you're interested.

We see them fairly often along the rivers and streams up here. Last one i saw was about a month ago in the local cemetery eating a fish from the creek. When they were stocking trout in Pa. 2 weeks ago there were 2 following the crews placing the fish and grabbing any that were sluggish and didn't make it to deeper water. They have nesting platforms on big poles down by the Cowanesque lake and the local high school has them also.

Not really related, but an owl swooped in front of my windshield the other night and I nearly died, LOL

We have a large increase in visibility of foxes this past year in my area. Twice I've had one walk straight across my front yard...and I do NOT live in the country (literally, I'm like 3 blocks each way from a main thoroughfare in town).

I had the honor of getting swooped by an owl once..many years ago..it was perfect..wings and under belly missed the windshield by about 2 foot {I was sitting still}..back then owls were few here..I have some that hang around the area here now though...Fox are making a big comeback here as well
