ok, RON, First I cant believe what you just said. For one, you are ignorate for posting that... NOT talking to someone because they are fat is on HELL of an immature thing to do. SOME people cant HELP but be over weight= Have you ever heard of a tyroid problem?? Granted, they can do things to HELP stop the progress, but once you get to a certain weight, they give up on their selfs, MAINLY because of people like you. DO you have any idea how LOW these peoples self esteem is? Getting thrown cut downs left and right by people like you are what is causing the really obese people to just kill themselves. In stead of the cutdowns, why dont you go out there and help someone that is over weight?
Let me ask you a question.. Do you eat candy, chips, soda?? Well because of your age and metabolism, you wont be able to see a difference in you, but once you get older you will blow up just the same if you dont stop eating that crap.
Eating habits come from a persons family. If you mom feeds you junk, then you will end up (more than likely) eating junk all the rest of your life causing dieting to be harder on you because you are use to HABIT!
I have no problem with the people that are overweight because of any medical reasons. That's understandable, at least they really can call it a disease. But the people who go eat 24/7 and then come home and eat more and more, and when they get fat, they say, "I'm not fat, I'm just suffering from a disease", that's what I am talking about. They are complete morons. Own up to your own bad eating habits, get off your ass, and try and lose weight. I'll be honest, I don't exactly eat healthy, but I know my limits. I know the consequences if I go out and eat 5 cheeseburgers, 2 steaks, and an extra large soda. People should stop using sad excuses for their own mistakes. There was an article in the paper about 3 weeks ago, some overweight woman was trying to sue McDonalds because she eats there all the time, and is now overweight because McDonalds sells french-fries with grease in them. Nobody is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to eat the food, put it down and grab something healthy. And as for the alcoholism, I just threw that in as an example. And I do have respect for some fat people, I have my share of overweight friends, but at least they make efforts to lose weight. Like one girl Jessica I know, she joined the JROTC so she could try and lose weight. I don't know much about that stuff, I guess it invovles a lot of excersise, but at least she doesn't sit around watching TV and gaining more and more weight, she takes action. There was a 500-pound woman on the show, and she was that weight, not because of a thyroid problem. It was because she ate so much. And then she had to get surgery to lose enough weight to get up and excersise. Well damn, you wouldn't need the surgery if you would excersise in the first place. Now, she has to get surgery just to be able to walk and do excersise. That is sad right there. Some people just need to learn, if you don't want to suffer the degrading consequences of being overweight that most people go through, then stay healthier and don't shovel food in your mouth all the time. I can go about 8 hours(sometimes more, depending on how I feel at the time), without eating, and it doesn't bother me. So the people that have a reason to be overweight, such as thyroid problems, medical conditions, etc., I am not trying to insult them at all. But the people that eat until they have a heartattack, and then say they have a disease, that's just stupid. And I'm not one of those people that will go around school and insult fat people. Like everyone I know says, that person could be the one that comes to school with a shotgun and blows you to hell, so be careful what you say to them. And I assume I don't weigh much because being ADHD, I'm always bouncing off the walls, medicine or no medicine. So all my energy helps keep off the weight. But the downside, there's a high percentage that I can't drive, unless I have stronger medicine.

I agree with Ron to a degree. If you are fat and whining about how you're fat, get off your ass and do something about it. Don't rely on surgery to fix the problem you created yourself. Rely on your own inner will to be healthier, and get yourself in shape. It isn't that difficult, truth be told. You simply have to find a balance between your appetite and your level of energy required to carry yourself around long enough to work off some of your pounds. Save the surgeries to remove the excess skin you'll have flapping in the wind.
That is the kind of thing I'm talking about. If you eat a lot of food, go work out. Eat a salad, do something energetic. Don't just sit down and watch TV.
The only thing I'm not a really big fan of is the whole drunk bit. You're saying it's a Southern thing to beat your wife? Nah. It's just an uneducated male thing. It is spawned by over-domineering morons who have something they lack in life (usually penis size), and make up for it by attacking the person closest to them. Now it's the wife's fault if she doesn't just get off her ass to report him and he continues along the same lines again and again and again. Once it gets to the second offense, it's just as much her fault as it is his.
I don't think it's really a Southern thing to beat your wife, it just happens to seem that generally all the drunk idiots who decide, "Hey, I'm gonna beat the living daylights out of my wife." live in the South. But I have seen a good share of people who beat their wives and don't live in the South. The main point, don't say you have a disease for some stupid thing. I'm ADHD, but when I get into trouble for being hyper, I don't go and say, "Don't blame me, I have a disease." I own up to my actions.
