O.K. I have one of the strangest (and most annoying) problems with my computer at the moment. Whenever I try and download something it shows that it is downloading but when it gets to 99% it just closes the window as if the file has finished but it is no where to be found. This is very annoying and I was wondering if anyone had any clue what is going on.

yeah, go to the search feature and find out where the files are located. Or you could always go into browser settings and change the destination folder where files are downloaded. If these methods do nothing, then I don't know what the hell is going on.

Don't know but try a download manager & see if you can down load with it.

Oh just thought of something - bit of a catch 22, because you can't download the download manager... mmm sorry you got me.

Wait, see if someone can down load one for you (oh yes, nice recovery).

first, uncheck the box that says "close this window with the download is complete" then you can be certain the download has finished and check to see it is in its appropriate spot.

I should have been more specific. The check box is UN-checked, and I've searched for the files. I have it set for the files to download straight to the desktop so changing any settings won't help. Very frustrating.
