I don't use napkins, I learnt how to eat without spilling food over me long ago.

I rarely put a napkin on my lap unless

a) I'm absolutely drunk, wearing something nice and eating food that is liable to drip (eg soup or food with a sauce)

b) The waiter puts it on my lap after pulling out the chair.

I never get food on my shirt, I just lean over the table so I can't really drop it on my shirt or on my lap.

Although somehow I managed to get some salad dressing on my tie the other day. :/
